SQL 2012 Performance Tuning Tools – Use what you have!

Speaker: George Walters, Technology Solutions Professional Microsoft

Summary: SQL Server 2012 and Windows have built in tools for performance tuning including perfmon and the Performance Analysis of Logs Tool (PAL) - This session will review these tools, and other tuning tips and tricks. Ever have a performance problem, but don't know what performance counters to collect or how to analyze them? The PAL (Performance Analysis of Logs) tool is a powerful tool that reads in a performance monitor counter log and analyzes it using known thresholds.
